Organic Legging to Benefit Spinal Research

One of our very own Fire Shaper students, Rebel Douglas, owns the organic clothing label Mulli and Boo. She has created a legging called “The Standing Together Legging” to benefit the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation.

Perry Cross grew up on the Gold Coast and was a promising Football player.  At the age of 19, he and Rebel’s husband Tim, were in trials for the Queensland Rugby Union team, when Perry was tackled in an extremely unlucky tackle. This year marks 20 years since he was involved in the accident and has been a C2 Quadriplegic. He became friends with Christopher Reeve and when Christopher passed away, Perry may the decision to start the Perry Cross Research Foundation and find a cure Paralysis!

Feeling drawn to Perry, his story and his incredible cause, Rebel has decided to sell “The Standing Together Legging” to raise money for PCSRF.

The leggings are on sale now for pre-order at Mulli and Boo’s website until Friday the 13th of June.

On the 14th of June, Rebel will present Perry Cross with a check for the proceeds at his black tie ball at Conrad Jupiters to aid in the search for a cure for paralysis.
